Miniland London

Miniland London was my favorite LEGOLAND Windsor Miniland city. I got to spend a little time in London when I was there and I think the Model Builders built a proper represantation in a beautiful way.




















Miniland Windsor is crafted by some top quality Model Builders. I have a zillion photos. I was thinking of putting them on my Flickr and linking to it? I never did the Brickshelf.com gallery thing, although I'm addicted to searching photos on their site. All I know is, it is not going to be very time effictive to continue my 'old school' approach of uploading 5 at a time, here, and for those who have never been here, you must experience this lovely LEGO city. I hope you feel the love ;)

Here are some of the finest Windsor art models that they have displayed in the Gallery in their Model Shop Building. They do an exquisite job of replicating fine art, The Crown Jewels. More LEGO attractions need nice areas like these to actually view the wonderful models. Plus, they are ALL handmade in their model shop! Nice job guys!

LEGOLAND Windsor - Round 1

Where do I begin!?!?!?! Just spend the day at LEGOLAND Windsor and I have way too many photos to post all at once! I thought I'd start by paying homage to our colleagues there in their Model Making Workshop, which is a similar to the fishbowl I used to work in at LL California. The public can walk right up and look at them while they are at work, bang on the glass, demand attention every day of the week during open hours. I feel for you guys. At the same time, they are concentrating their best efforts to produce beautiful sculpture, artwork, scale models and decoration for this wonderful theme park. BRILLIANT WORK, LLW MODEL BUILDERS!!!

Next, I'm posting pics of my hands down favorite Miniland city at LLW - Miniland London. A few years ago, LLW and LL Billund teamed up and upgraded this city and the results are fantastic!

LEGOLAND Windsor - I'm HERE!!!

I'm across the pond and having just arrived, have fallen victim to jetlag... however I'M GOING TO .LEGOLAND Windsor TOMORROW! Brilliant!

I have some meetings in London at our new artistic hub, Merlin Studios, on Monday and Tuesday, so being the fanatic LEGO enthusiast that I am, I took 2 planes and 2 trains to get here a few days earlier to visit the only LEGOLAND I haven't seen.

Looking forward to being the first one in line at the gate, tomorrow... and they are going to have to sweep me out at the end of the day.
