I've only heard about it... but it was from some reliable sources... Captain Cranky LIVES at LEGOLAND... and it's not just a model builder wearing his head this time. Our rockin' team built and animated this very special model and he is ready for opening, tomorrow! We have been doing quite well animating Pirates in the last couple of years, but this one will do the most manual labor, yet, as he "cranks" the gears for this new ride all day. They did an excellent job theming and building other things for this ride, too.
I think this is the first project in three years that I was not heavily involved in, but I couldn't have done it better myself! Great job guys!
Will try to add pics, soon. I've been super busy doing summer season cleanup, on Miniland, ready for 7 day/week opening.
