Chicago will be your last chance to get THE JOB in the Model Shop at LEGOLAND California... unless you want to get one the old fashioned way (wait until one of us dies! - kidding!) No... really, they have only opened the position to the public like 3 times since they started building the park about 9 years ago!
I can speak from experience. It's a fun place to work and it is extremely challenging. If you are an artist, LEGO fiend, or Art Department freak, then this is THE job for you. Ok, well the salary makes it a WONDERFUL stepping stone... hey, $13-15.00/hour is not so bad... we crafty arty types can vouch... I've been promoted since I started, 2 years ago - Model Builder to Model Designer and I make a few dollars more now, but FINALLY I have Benefits - what are those you ask?
